1912 - a timeless treasure from a bygone era
This exquisite silk sari, crafted in 1912, is a timeless treasure that captures the elegance of the Mysore Palace. The intricate Gendaperuda woven in pure silk thread reflects the Maharaja's and weavers' meticulous attention to detail.
We at Svasthi sarees have tried to recreate this stunning saree in kanjeevaram with pure resham in traditional dual-shaded arraku color and motifs such as Yanai, Gudhirai, Maram, Mango, kili, and kalasam remain as radiant as they were when crafted over a century ago. This unique piece of heritage, commissioned by the Maharaja of Mysore, Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, is a testament to timeless beauty and offers a glimpse into the past.
